Proceedings of the conference day organized by the Société nationale d’horticulture de France Library as part of the EBHL 2025 Annual Meeting are out !

With the support of the EBHL, the Société nationale d’horticulture de France (SNHF) was able to publish these bilingual French/English proceedings dedicated to: Understanding French Horticulture: Sources and their uses.

“This book brings together the papers presented at the one-day symposium organized by the library of the French National Horticultural Society (SNHF) on 16th May 2025, devoted to the sources of garden history and the ways in which they are read and interpreted today. Drawing on archival materials, printed sources, and graphic collections, the authors highlight the range of documents available and the roles they play in writing this history. The contributions examine the relationship between written records and objects, the traces left by administrative and commercial practices, and the critical approaches required to link sources with historical narratives. Intended for archive and library professionals, as well as readers interested in horticultural and botanical heritage, this volume was produced within the framework of the European Botanical and Horticultural Libraries Group Annual Meeting.”

It is only available for purchase on the SNHF website or in Paris at the SNHF headquarters rue de Grenelle 84.

Call for Papers

In addition, please find attached a preliminary conference programme. This is provisional and subject to change, but will hopefully give potential delegates a flavour of what is in store! It also includes a Call for Papers for the two days of lectures and lightning talks. Delegates wishing to present papers are asked to submit their outlines to library@linnean.org before March 31.

27th EBHL Annual Meeting: registration open!

The 27th European Botanical and Horticultural Libraries Group Meeting and the 25th Linnaeus Link Partners’ Meeting to be held in Meise Botanic Garden on 19–21 October 2022.

We will also be very happy to welcome CBHL members.

This meeting is organized by Nicole Hanquart and Régine Fabri. Feel free to contact them for any questions.

Meise Botanic Garden is located outside Brussels, in Meise, 12 km north of the center of Brussels, and there are no hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Botanic Garden.
We suggest you choose accommodation in the North Station area of Brussels from where you have direct transport to Meise by regular bus.
